What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and automate highly scalable and resilient network solutions for AI workloads, spanning Linux hosts, data center fabrics, carrier connectivity, and multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Take full ownership of critical network services, from architectural design to production outcomes, including routing (BGP), advanced segmentation (VLANs, VRFs), tenant isolation, and secure private access (WireGuard, IPsec).
- Develop and deploy robust network automation using Python and Terraform, transforming bespoke connectivity patterns into self-service, productized capabilities that empower other engineers.
- Collaborate closely with infrastructure and inference engineers to optimize network topology and performance for high-bandwidth GPU, HPC, and distributed AI workloads, including RDMA.
- Drive observability, monitoring, and incident response for complex network infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving issues across diverse administrative domains.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating complex production networks across data centers, cloud, and carrier environments.
- Deep expertise in network protocols, including BGP, VLANs, VRFs, and advanced segmentation/firewall policy, with a proven track record of managing these at scale in a production setting.
- Proficiency in Linux networking, encompassing troubleshooting, configuration, and performance tuning on hosts carrying real traffic.
- Strong programming skills in Python for network automation and extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for deploying and managing network resources across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Demonstrated ability to debug intricate network issues across multiple administrative domains and a strong understanding of how network decisions impact distributed systems and high-performance workloads (e.g., GPU, RDMA).
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for network configuration and automation deployment, ensuring reliable and repeatable operations.
