As a Senior AI Engineer at Learned Hand, you will be a pivotal force in designing, developing, and deploying advanced AI systems that revolutionize legal processes. You will lead critical projects from conception to production, directly impacting our product’s core capabilities and driving the strategic evolution of our intelligent platforms. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize end-to-end AI models and systems, leveraging PyTorch for advanced deep learning applications in the legal domain.
• Architect and implement robust LLM-powered features and applications using LangChain, integrating seamlessly with OpenAI's API services.
• Build and maintain highly scalable and performant RESTful APIs to expose AI model inferences and facilitate robust integration with internal and external services.
• Lead the deployment of machine learning models into production environments, ensuring reliability, monitoring, and efficient resource utilization.
• Collaborate with product managers and legal experts to translate complex requirements into technical specifications and innovative AI solutions.
• Conduct rigorous experimentation and evaluation of new AI models, frameworks, and techniques to continuously improve system performance and capabilities.
• Mentor junior engineers, contribute to architectural decisions, and foster best practices in machine learning engineering and MLOps.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience as an ML Engineer with a proven track record of deploying complex AI systems into production.
• Expert proficiency in PyTorch for developing and fine-tuning deep learning models.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing applications with LangChain and integrating with OpenAI's API.
• Strong background in building and consuming robust REST APIs for data and model serving.
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
• Experience with MLOps practices, including version control, CI/CD, and monitoring of machine learning workflows.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying and managing AI services.
• Familiarity with legal domain-specific language models or large-scale text analytics.
