What You'll Do
- Architect Engaging Playable Experiences: Design and develop highly interactive, browser-based playable ads with strong core loops and player psychology insights, ensuring they not only entertain but also convert by guiding players towards a compelling call to action.
- Drive End-to-End Game Development: Take ownership of the full development lifecycle for playable ads, from initial concepting and scoping to meticulous implementation, asset integration, rigorous testing, and continuous refinement across multiple variations.
- Build for Scalability with AI Integration: Implement robust, modular game systems and config-driven tuning, enabling seamless extension and content variation by AI agents long after initial shipment, setting patterns for future autonomous development.
- Ensure Polish and Performance: Craft clear onboarding, responsive controls, intuitive UI/HUD, and satisfying feedback mechanisms. You'll also optimize game performance, loading, and cross-browser compatibility, rigorously testing for touch input and mobile device behavior.
- Innovate Workflows and Asset Integration: Actively improve production workflows, leveraging AI and other tools to accelerate delivery. Source, adapt, and integrate visual and audio assets efficiently, ensuring a cohesive and optimized player experience while tracking usage rights.
What We're Looking For
- Seasoned Frontend Game Developer: Possess 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with a robust portfolio showcasing independently shipped complete games or highly interactive web experiences, not just prototypes or isolated features.
- JavaScript/TypeScript Mastery: Demonstrate expert proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, coupled with a deep understanding of modern HTML/CSS, state management, event handling, asynchronous behavior, and browser debugging. Practical experience with a browser-game stack such as Canvas, PixiJS, Phaser, Three.js, PlayCanvas, or similar is essential.
- Exceptional Game Design Acumen: Exhibit strong game design judgment across core loops, player psychology, mechanics, pacing, rewards, and visual hierarchy. You should be able to clearly articulate why a design will engage, convert, and how it aligns with advertiser goals.
- Scalable Architecture & AI Mindset: Proven ability to architect game code for extensibility and configurability, structuring systems with modularity and clear documentation. Experience thinking about how AI agents can leverage these structures for future variations is key.
- Mobile-First Optimization & Asset Integration: Extensive experience building for and debugging touch devices, including expertise in mobile loading, rendering, memory management, audio, and layout issues. Ability to source, create, and integrate visual and audio assets efficiently while managing usage rights.
- Collaborative Communication: Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, capable of articulating complex technical and design decisions, providing constructive feedback, and collaborating effectively within a dynamic, remote-first team environment.
