What You'll Do
- Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable backend services for our cloud platform, powering innovative AI agents and critical background processes.
- Develop, test, and deploy robust APIs (primarily RESTful) and end-to-end product features, ensuring seamless integration and an exceptional user experience.
- Architect and maintain systems for high reliability and fault tolerance, effectively managing concurrent workloads, gracefully handling failures, and ensuring quick recovery.
- Drive initiatives to optimize system performance, establish comprehensive monitoring solutions, and enhance overall infrastructure efficiency to support rapid growth.
- Collaborate directly with the founding team, owning complex engineering challenges from initial design through deployment, and contributing strategically across the entire application stack.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering, with a strong emphasis on designing, shipping, and operating production-grade distributed systems.
- Exceptional proficiency in a modern backend programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Rust, Java) and a solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Deep expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs, experience with various database technologies (SQL/NoSQL), concurrent programming paradigms, and cloud platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in an early-stage, fast-paced startup environment, rapidly learning unfamiliar tools, and effectively tackling loosely defined, complex technical problems.
- Strong judgment in making pragmatic technical decisions, balancing speed of iteration with the need for robust, scalable, and maintainable architectural foundations.
- Familiarity with AI development tools and workflows, coupled with a rigorous approach to testing, verification, and ensuring the quality of shipped software.
