We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to help lead engineering across our platform. As a key member of a small and highly collaborative team, you will own projects end-to-end, contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior developers, and help scale both our product and engineering practices.
Our platform is built on the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) and leverages generative AI technologies for text, image, and video creation. We're looking for someone who has real-world experience shipping AI-powered products in production environments and can contribute both strategically and technically.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship product features end-to-end across our MERN stack.
- Design, integrate, and improve AI-powered features for text, image, and video generation.
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and Express.
- Build intuitive, performant, and responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
- Work with Cloudflare infrastructure, including media storage, content delivery, and processing workflows.
- Review code, approve pull requests, and mentor junior developers through constructive feedback.
- Audit existing systems and propose architectural improvements that improve scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers.
- Improve engineering standards around testing, observability, reliability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate closely with founders, product stakeholders, and engineers to rapidly deliver business value.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
- Strong production experience with MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js (MERN stack).
- Advanced proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience integrating Generative AI technologies into production products, including:
- Experience working with Cloudflare services such as R2, Stream, Workers, CDN, or similar cloud-based media infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.
- Proven ability to work within existing codebases, identify technical debt, and implement long-term improvements.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills across frontend, backend, and infrastructure environments.
- Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring less experienced developers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.
- Experience building and scaling video, media, or other content-heavy applications.
- Experience working on creator economy products, AI-native applications, or media technology platforms.
- Familiarity with background job processing systems, queues, and long-running workloads.
- Knowledge of GPU-based workloads and AI infrastructure.
- Open-source contributions or active involvement in developer communities.
